EDIFACT also includes a broader range of message types and segments that allow users to add optional fields. The complete list of EDIFACT codes includes 93 document types, each represented by a 6-letter identifier. HL7 (Health Level Seven) is a US-based EDI standard that was developed in the 1980s by the Health Level Seven International organization. RosettaNet messages are sent in XML format.

Trademark EDI

Trademark EDI is a US-based EDI standard developed by the National Retail Federation (NRF) and the Uniform Code Council (UCC). It is used primarily in the retail industry. Trademark EDI messages, like TRADACOMS, are typically transmitted in plain text format with delimiters.

GS1

GS1 is an EDI format introduced by GS1, a global organization that develops and maintains standards for business communication.
